Some families choose a holiday color scheme. Some debate where to put the tree. Ours would like to know why the dog hasn't been included in the pajama plan.
Fair question.
If you're taking a holiday photo with your pet this year, a coordinating tee is an easy way to bring them into the fun. Here's how to make the whole thing cute, comfortable, and relatively chaos-free.
Start with a print that comes in pet sizes
Not every pajama print has a matching pet tee, so check availability before you coordinate everyone else's outfits. Once you've found a print you love, let each adult pick the pajama style and size that works for them.

Measure the dog, not their confidence
Dogs have strong opinions about most things. Their shirt size is not one of them.
Measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail, then around the widest part of the chest. Compare both numbers against the pet size chart in our Size & Fit Guide, because back length alone doesn't tell the whole story.
If they're between sizes, choose the larger size. The tee should allow easy movement without bunching or feeling tight. If your dog dislikes clothing, skip the outfit and let them participate naturally.
Give them the starring role early
Take the dog photos first. Have treats close, pick a familiar spot, and work in short bursts. A person behind the camera making a funny noise usually accomplishes more than asking the dog to “just sit still” for the ninth time.
And yes, one perfectly timed head tilt can make every human in the picture look like a supporting character.
Keep the setting simple
A wreath, a tree, or a plain backdrop with some greenery is enough. You don't need a full holiday village in the living room.
Simple backgrounds keep attention where it belongs: on the people, the pet, and the matching prints.
Matching is optional. Participation is encouraged.
The dog can match the whole group, just one person, or nobody exactly. It's still a holiday photo you'll want to keep.
And if the dog wanders out of frame halfway through? Take the picture anyway. That's part of the tradition now.
Match the dog. Honestly, they wear it best.
