How to Size the Whole Family for Matching Pajamas (Without a Group Text Meltdown)
You found the perfect holiday pajama print. Everyone loves it. This is going to be adorable.
And then someone asks the question.
"Wait. What size is everybody?"
Cue 47 unread messages, three people who haven't responded, and one family member who insists they're "probably a large."
Sound familiar? Don't worry. We've got you.
The good news? Matching pajamas are about the print, not the size. Everyone gets their own fit, and the whole crew can still look like you planned this months ago.
Here's how to make it happen, without starting a family group chat war.
First things first: matching doesn't mean one size fits all
This is kind of our thing. Matching should actually include everybody. Different sizes, different heights, different body types. Same fun holiday prints.
The print matches. The sizes don't have to.
Here's the quick rundown:
- Women's regular: XS–XL
- Women's plus: 1X–3X
- Women's tall: M Tall–XL Tall, designed for 5'8" and up
- Men's: S–4XL, with tall options for 6'0" and up
- The dog: pet tees in XS, S/M, L/XL and XXL
For the best fit, start with your usual size and double-check our size chart. Because nobody wants to discover their pajama pants are too short on Christmas Eve.
Step 1: Get everyone's sizes. Yes, everyone.
Before you start filling your cart, it's time to collect sizes. And if you've ever tried getting six adults to respond to one group text, you know this can be the hardest part of the entire holiday season.
Here's a little something you can copy and paste:
The official family pajama text:
"Okay, crew! Ordering our holiday pajamas this week. Send me your usual pajama size, and let me know if you need tall sizing (women 5'8"+, men 6'0"+). Reply by Friday or I'm choosing your print. You've been warned. Yes, this includes you, Dad."

Step 2: Find the right fit for the women

Step 3: Don't forget the tall guys
You know the guy. He's 6'3", claims everything fits fine, and somehow every pair of pajama pants ends three inches above his ankles.

Step 4: Mixing in unisex pieces? Check the fit.
Maybe someone wants lounge pants instead of a full set. Or a cozy sweatshirt with their favorite pajama bottoms. We fully support making the outfit your own.
For our unisex styles, men can generally start with their usual size, while women often prefer to size down one size. Check the size chart before ordering, especially if you like a more relaxed or fitted look.

Step 5: Measure the dog. Trust us on this one.
Of course the dog is invited. Honestly, there's a decent chance they're going to steal the spotlight in the family photo anyway.
